A design patent image of the new Benelli 600N has surfaced online.

The image indicates that the bike is likely to get dual-tone colour scheme. It appears to have a new V-shaped headlamp with a new headlamp fairing and a digital instrument cluster. It has a black front fender and black shroud around the radiator.



The bike has upside down fork suspension at the front and a mono-shock at the rear and is riding on black alloy wheels. The bike also gets an underbelly exhaust.

The Benelli 600N is likely to use the same engine as the Benelli 600i. The 600i is powered by a 600cc, 4-cylinder engine that produces 84 BHP @ 11,500 rpm and 54.6 Nm @ 10,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. In the 600N, the power and torque figures could be different.

Looks much better than the old one! Looks a bit like a Kwacker, but much sleeker than the outgoing 600i.

Benelli has to focus on weight reduction. 600i is very heavy for a naked sport, and all that horsepower ends up feeling like just another figure on paper!

Looks pretty nice. Got to hand it over to their design teams. The bikes do look pretty neat. But as Crazy driver said they really need to fix the weight of their bikes. Even their 300cc twins are freaking heavy. Also hopefully they tune their 600cc engine for more low end torque as its pretty lacking when riding slow.

Looks like a mini Z1000. Not that I am complaining because that's my dream bike but out of my range. Wish they retain the orgasmic sound but reduce the weight to make it easier to ride in the city.

I believe these patents were leaked around an year ago and we are still in the dark regarding the launch of the same. Looks 10 times better than the current 600i though. There were 2 versions of the same leaked as well, with one real image.

Benelli has done no effort to reduce it's weight which was it's biggest grouse, new model is 3 kgs heavier than the outgoing model.

I would call it a facelift rather than a new generation.

Agree on this being a face lift. But this is rather a stop-gap arrangement till the next generation hits the market. Probably there has been some back end issue and hence the launch is getting delayed.

We are still to get the updated Benelli 302s which is a full year behind schedule if reports are to be believed and I dont think Benelli is too interested in the Indian market, yet!
