However- 5000 bikes per year is a very hard ask, and they need to try multiple times harder than the effort they have put in for a localized Ninja 300.
There is only one way for Kawasaki to achieve those numbers in India, and that is to take KTM head on. Much easier said than done because KTM rides on the volumes game played by Bajaj and is a very big export hub for them too. Quote:

Don't think they can compete with costs on 200cc segments. 250cc might be a much better starting point instead.
