Rode yesterday, went through the gears/revs. Adding the K&N filter seems to have opened her up. No fuelling issues noticed as far as I could tell.

There is a buzz after 8k rpms until about 9.5k rpms. People have asked me to try 99 RON and see if it improves. There is also a suggestion of adding some rubber washers under the tank mounting and is supposed to help a bit. Lets see...

Not any more - Ducati bikes come with amongst the best electronics in their segments and there are hardly any electronics related issues i have heard of in the DOC groups.

That's true. I feel the Duc's have come a long way. And i for one, amongst all the other manufacturers love Ducati. I am like jelly when it comes to the Hypermotard. That's a special kit.

Like i said in one of my post earlier, Rapidbike has mixed reviews on forums. Some feel it works really well, others felt it was garbage. I am confused about getting one. They have tied up with Akrapovic. And have base maps for my bike with the full system Akra. But these are maps put together somewhere in Italy, with different running conditions, air temp, humidity and air pressure. Without a proper dyno there is no way to know how the thing works. Plus when i wrote to them, their replies were sort of vague.

I did some reading too, I think they are a little bit disconnected with too many options and modules. I think the simpler guys will go for PC V or Bazzaz with Autotune and those that want more complex engineering in a single box will go with Woolich.

Rapid bike seems to offer all of the above by using various combos of what they have but add up the combinations and it might be a tad more expensive than the Woolich.

So like Odeen mentioned, until there is some standardisation and good feedback, I personally would stay away from it for now.

Haha - I have seen many a grown men go weak in the knees at the mention of the Hypermotard. It is quite something else.

Rapidbike actually has a quite good reputation on Ducati forums - better than Dynojet and Bazzaz. But I get your point about limitations of maps from European conditions - if someone has access to a Dyno and a good tuner - that’s the way to go to maximise the performance.

I just added the Chinese radiator guard, fits beautifully.

I also got the small 8mm spools but on a high level look, it feels like it will touch the stock exhaust if I add it, will need to try it and see...

I would strongly recommend that you invest a little more and get the Evotech radiator guard. One of my friends got his radiator punctured thanks to the Aliexpress radiator guard on his Z800.

Did a longish 300kms ride this weekend. Man, the Catcon gets hot. When I had gone to see some bikes, one of the owners had told me that it gets really hot, didn't really pay a lot of attention to his comments then but after this ride, I am wondering how the others are managing the heat from the Catcon?

Added a Y-pipe and got rid of the catcon/breadbox. The bike revs much more freely and there is a slight dip in the heat at the sole of the boots.

Also, sounds nice now.
