Indian Springfield launched at Rs. 31.07 lakh

Indian Motorcycles has launched the Springfield in India at a price of Rs. 31.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurgaon). It will be available only in the classic Thunder Black colour. Bookings for the bike have commenced at all Indian dealerships in the country.

The Springfield is powered by a Thunder Stroke 1,811 cc engine that produces 73 BHP and 139 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike's suspension setup includes a telescopic fork at the front and an air adjustable single shock absorber at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 300 mm dual discs with 4 piston caliper at the front and 300 mm single disc with a two-piston caliper at the rear. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is a part of standard equipment.

Other standard features include keyless start, quick release windshield, quick release hard saddlebags, tyre pressure monitoring system and adjustable passenger floorboards. The instrument cluster includes dual trip meters, digital tachometer, ambient air temperature, average fuel economy, battery voltage, gear shift indicator, real-time clock and low engine oil pressure indicator.

The Indian Springfield will be competing against premium tourers like the Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special.
