I am also running a pc5 though with a custom map . There is so much the woolich can do its amazing.
Did you send the ECU to them?
Have been reading about Woolich kit and seems like there is a lot that you can do.
I honestly don't want to a PCV etc on the bike as off now. Have burned my hands with Bazzaz. Plus, the fact we don't have a dyno here.
In the mean time have written to Translogic as well. Hope there's a easier way to do this.

Cheers Man, Thanks a ton.

No, I worked on the ECU editor myself to make the changes on the ECU.
For the custom map I got in touch with a tuner who was working on a bike with the exact same components I had on mine. I got the map from him. Though every bike is different it was the best I could do without access to a dyno and a tuning house here.

Re: 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R : Shredder joins the family

So about 11k kms down, the zx10 has been living life confined to the mumbai urban jungles over the last year. Multiple plans to hit the race-track have not seen the light of day due majorly due to work commitments or lack of enthusiasm from friends here.

In the interim, Shredder got her Cat-con swapped out for a titanium link pipe from Akrapovic. Oh and what a difference this has made !! She sounds WAY WAY better than what the carbon slip-on alone made her. Not as loud as the beer-can exhausts and just the right amount of sweet. I am a sure shot fan of Akras now.

She has not just become considerably lighter, but thanks to some really fine auto-tuning by Woolich Racing Logbox has now mapped the ECU to accomodate the link-pipe system with the Sprint filter. Result - It is now legitimately INSANE! The power definitely feels substantially up and comes with a lot more aggression post 8000 rpm with another add-on surge kicking in at 11,000. I was always scared of her and frankly she is now snarling and baring her teeth even more (read - rabid dog)

The lower weight also now makes her way more agile and this reflects in the way she is more effortless in tighter fast corners which require quick direction changes.

I still maintain that the Woolich Racing Logbox is the best investment I have made on this bike. Period. It offers you unparallel flexibility to tune the bike and activate/deactivate features. I have a Dynojet PC5 on the Ninja 650 and from my personal experience of both the techs I can safely say the Woolich is leagues ahead of Dynojet on this.

The Metzeler M7 rear tire is on its last legs of life after being very impressive in its performance. Will stick to the M7s for urban use on the bike as they offer amazing grip on the bike for city & highway use.

I have been drooling over the Brembo RCS19 Master cylinder since some time now. Maybe once the money gods are a little happier with me will contemplate picking it up.

The ZX10 continues to be a monster in sheep's clothing. Shes nimble and manageable in urban confines and yet takes a nano-second to shed all that off and show her true DNA when given the slightest of right wrist. A couple of rides on the 650 rub-it well in my face how dynamically superior the 10 is to anything that I have ridden.

Oh on an off-note - I recommend not buying anything from R&G which is to be stuck as their glue quality is quite horrible. My boot guard kit for the 10R and the rim-tapes for the 650 have both been quite flimsy and have been peeling off since a few months of installation. Full paisa waste.

That exhaust looks so nice. Buy your point on the loud cans. I'd take a sweet rumble over an unnecessary racket. With the Brembo master cylinder do have a look at the Galespeed Master Cylinder too.

Best

Re: 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R : Shredder joins the family

Thank you for the feedback on the M7. I have the Supercorsa SP on my 765RS which have done around 8200km now and will need replacement soon. The new set of the same tyres costs almost 45-50k so i have been contemplating getting the M7RR or the Rosso Corsa IIIs- any feed back on those?

Surprised to hear about the R&G bits- how far back did you get the parts? I have their carbon tank sliders installed and they have held up phenomenally well.

The Brembo MC is a fine piece of equipment. Of all the things I have swapped on my bike over the years the brake upgrade was the most impactful.
If you ever do go for the rcs19 I strongly recommend the HP caliper upgrade with semi floating rotors. With your lighter zx10 you will enjoy the 1 finger stoppies.

Have heard good things about the Rosso 3s as well though dont have first hand experience. Get whichever is cheaper and fresher stock. You cant go wrong with either.

My friend has the tank sliders too and they have held up well. I got the wheel rim tape and boot kit around the same time. The glue on both has been a pain in the wrong place since one month from installation.

So the plan is to go for the RCS 19 CC or the Galespeed 19 considering they have similar pricing (approx $320). While I start a recurring FD to fund this any idea if everything required to get it up and running comes with the box or does anything have to be purchased separately? I am assuming I wont have to switch the reservoir since the stock MC setup is also brembo but I am curious if the tubing from the reservoir to the MC has to change considering the change in MC dia.

Whether you go with the stock reservoir or an after market one will depend on the hose angle. If its same, stick with the stock, if its different get an after market one which fits the altered angle of the MC. I had to change mine.

Re: 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R : Shredder joins the family

After reading all the posts about changing the master cylinder, one thing that i have realized is that i am very very fortunate that the RS came with the top notch stuff from Brembo-factory fitted. For someone who is not very technically sharp or hands on- factory equipment comes as a blessing.

This thread has been such an eye opener in terms of how to go about upgrades and not just mindlessly keep adding stuff- so a big big thank you from a sort of big bike noob!

Happy to help mate. I myself depend on the forum to learn new things and bounce off ideas. For me personally all upgrades which impact safety and performance are also a higher priority over cosmetic ones.

Check the MC spec on stock Brembo MC on the RS (it should be a number engraved on the MC). To my mind it will be the 15 or 16mm as is the case with most OEM Brembos.

You lucky chap you!! That 19RCS is beautiful. My worry was if I have to change the hose connecting the MC to the reservoir with the swap considering the stock reservoir setup is also Brembo. How has been your experience with the RCS?

Re: 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R : Shredder joins the family

I have a heavy bike (almost 600 pounds and I myself push 210), so considering the amount of mass that needs to be stopped, Brembos do a commendable job. In-fact it is the best available for my non-abs old school bike. Though I must add I went the whole mile and upgraded my rotors, calipers , brake lines and pads.
Coming to your bike, it would be phenomenal. You will brake late, brake less and the braking feel would be tremendous. No spongy ,feedback devoid braking.

I have ridden a few litre class bikes with the Brembo setup and it was always a very pleasant and assuring experience.
