Frankly, I think my windscreen is huge for a CGT.
However you should have a look at the below thread by Neil.

Hi Thanks to both of you for the input and I think you are right about the size being larger for GT and position not being appropriate . In fact I have been following Neil's thread and was in two minds. I will probably order it in UK and get it through my colleagues in the next couple of months.

Fitting was a DIY. So far the performance has been above expectation. Of course one needs to be careful as screens are scratch prone.
Attaching some pics for reference.
I need one for my TB, could you give some info about sourcing it?

Thanks gary for this thread. I have felt the need for windscreen when you do touring.

Pawan, do you feel the need for a better/bigger windscreen like gary has or the one you have does the job ok?

Re: windshield for Desert Storm

Have you checked the local RE service center?

I got an OEM windshield from the service center near my home for my Bullet 500 about 3 years ago. It was for around Rs. 4500 as far as I remember. If they're still selling those, it might be worth looking into it.

It was made by National Cycles, USA so the quality was decent.

However, I did end up removing it last year due to the following issues:

1. There were some rattles at high speeds even after tightening it to spec with a torque wrench.
2. The height of the windshield was such that the wind would hit my helmet - increasing the wind noise at highway speeds. I added a windshield extender, but the windshield had too much flex due to the added weight.

It just didn't work out for me in the long term.

I've been to a few rides without the windshield, and I don't really miss it except for its looks. Issues aside the bike did look really cool with it, no two ways about that.
