Re: My Triumph Bonneville. EDIT: Sold! Yes you heard it right. It has its own character and charm and only bad thing for me was the front suspension and that too was resolved with Thruxton adjustable caps.
It was far superior and refined compared it to the ST but it was not so manageable in the mountains. High speed stability was one of the pros of the bike.
It was also a DIY friendly bike as you could remap it yourself with the free software available and free map tune for Arrows. What more one could ask for. I still have to software and OBD cable for it.
I had lot of service spares for it which I gave to a very well known Biking shop in Delhi to sell and now all spares worth 80K are missing from his store. I wonder how many Bonnveille's in Delhi bought my spares from him of which I haven't received a penny(just sad how low our biking community has gone).
@Anupam -if you ever get stuck for want of parts then let me know, I can give links to source it from. Keep it as along as you can. Nothing to replace it but if you ever want something all in one for our Indian roads then you just can't beat GS. Once you get the feel of the boxer engine and love it then there is no replacement for it but that's for me anyways.
I like the BSA as well but again a parallel twin has its own charm and feel. |
