I hope Yamaha will replace the FZ1 with this when it is launched:

Specs that make it interesting:

Engine: 847cc Triple

Power: 113 bhp

Weight: 187kg (wet!)

Fuel Tank: 14 liters

This bike is expected to replace the FZ-08 but NOT the FZ1, which will continue in production. It is expected to cost around $7990 in the US, which is $2500 cheaper than the FZ1.

Since it is over the 800cc limit, it should be easy for Yamaha India to bring this in and compete with the Triumph Street Triple.

Now that the Triumph bikes have been released, i was watching online reviews of the Street Triple and comparisons with FZ-09 and MV Augusta Brutale here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKSH4kSnbLQ

On the pricing, performance and even looks front, the FZ-09 looks like a compelling package, hope Yamaha does bring this to India and soon !
