Re: The Frankenbike Build: My Honda CBR 600 F3 Build-Off

None Taken!
The can wasn't meant for this bike, but it's not the inward pointing angle of the pipe that makes it obvious. If you put the 600 and the 954 cans next to each other, except for exhaust outlet/inlet size differences, they are virtually the same size. It angles in because I didn't want to let anyone touch/cut the titanium mid pipe.

Never said the headers were Akrapovic. THOSE (in Titanium) will be next! LOL.
From my first post :
"..Carbon Akrapovic from a 954 RR with the titanium mid pipe..had to make a new bigger bore ceramic coated header for this'..."

I WANT her to run carbs, bunging on the F4i's FI would have been an option, but I will be putting on 35mm FCR's soon and bask in their lovely popping, farting, rattly greatness! hahahaha.

She was in poor condition and needed a lot of work - new paint, new fairing bits, and that frumpy ass had to go anyway, so thought I would bring her up to date!
The F3's sliding calipers were noted for being quite limp. And because of this, options for replacement were non existent. Couldn't go larger than 296mm on stock replacement rotors, blah, blah, etc.
So I binned the lot and went very large 4 piston calipers and 330mm rotors!!! She was going to get USDs, no matter what, so enter the 954. I didn't want a 1000RR front end because of the radial mount calipers. An RC51 front end would have been the most ideal solution, but they are few and far between.

She's still a work in progress and will be for considerably more time to come.

Hi, have a simple query here. Won't changing the colour pose a problem since your RC would mention the original colour? Or will you get the RC updated. How easy or difficult is this process? Asking since bikes are generally soft targets for "crackdowns" and are charged with anything from PUC to duty evasion to loud exhausts to irregular paperwork / RC book mentioning wrong details.
