I am soon finalizing on either Z800 or ST. More inclined towards Z800.
I was also in similar dilemma and even a second hand R1 but then with a decade break in riding, felt this is the best to get back in shape. Price right now stays same, though a rumour is out there of a price hike. Oct seems to be a realistic timeframe right now.

TVM run will take sometime, just a day out in city was crazy for me today. Need to get the groove back in and till then araam ride with my friends.

Keeping it open for delivery timelines, have a private ride planned for Oct beginning and working backwards towards it

Price increase info has come to dealership today, they are awaiting actual increase details and should be able to tell by evening. 3-4% expected

Yes , that's what Chandigarh dealership also confirmed . Few bikes included Storm arrived yesterday and are being unloaded . I am being offered this bike at pre-hike rates but will get delivery on opening day as they don't have Temporary registrations (yet to come from RTO) besides they don't have another storm yet and want to keep this bike for display in some place at their BMW showroom . I have been told that they won't give any rides & plan to give me on first day as mine was first booking . Somehow I am not OK with this idea and want an untouched one :(

Another option is to pick second bike they get in October end at new rates , what will you suggest ?

Ouch thats a 35K-40K hike translating to whole year's fuel cost/visits to Toit

IMO, If bike is being kept only in showroom for display and promised it wont be given out for test rides ( normally, showroom folks once they give such word, they stick to it), it should not matter at all and you should pick up the same bike

In your case, you will be looking at saving a whopping 60K-70K

Btw, for how long the bike will be kept for display and will then be delivered to you?

More like 20-25 is what i feel. Its ex showroom that increases not OTR, then the tax on that ex-showroom and maybe the insurance.

New price for Storm in Delhi is 13,57 .

Around second week of October , somehow picking up something like this after 4-5 weeks of display does not make sense to me . Maybe I will pick from second lot or this might eventually get postponed for early next year as I need to be in Canada in End October for few months :(

Before it was 13,07 . I checked for storm only as I had to get payment made , apparently Chandigarh dealer has got hold of another storm for demo / display and deliver the one he has received as early as next week subject to RTO certificates

13.57L translates to an increase of 4%. Not a very good time to hike price IMO. They could have done it post festive season. I guess price of street triple will increase by 30K ex-showroom delhi.
