Hi, I just saw a white Jeep wrangler and a grey Wrangler Unlimited in sheshadripuram. It was Mh-12 registration.

Ok, I realised that now
It also had the 'V6T' badge near the indicator. Surely did the job of deceiving me and many other lesser informed folks!

That's actually the 4.2tdi. The 3.0tdi A8 is still 35tdi I think.

Nope. The 3.0 is 50 TDI. 4.2 is 60 TDI. the 4.0 is 60 TFSI. And the mighty W12 retains the original badging.

That is called as "Dynamic Badging" by Audi. Under this system, a car with higher number before the Tdi monicker is faster than the one with lower number. So a 50Tdi is faster than a 40Tdi and so on. It does not indicate CC or torque. Refer to the below thread to see the detailed discussion around this.
