Wasn't it that way for astons always? I remember seeing it that way even for the DB9 and vantage. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That is the way all the Astons are, the RPM meter goes Anti Clock wise

I didn't know all AMs come with Anti Clockwise tachos. But now I do! This was the first car I observed with an Anti-Clockwise tacho needle, hence the juvenile excitement.

Had been to the r drive conducted by Audi today .My friend was invited to drive the R8 spyder and the RS5 so had tagged along.First of all I would like to say brilliant hospitality by audi India and Audi Bangalore. It was amazing.To shuttle us to nice road from the showroom I was expecting a Mini bus or something but it turned out to be an A8l. Was completely blown away.And the drivers were too good.Overall great experience thanks to Audi India.Here are some pics from the event. I hope this is the appropriate place to post this.

I just headed over to T-BHP to ask if someone had attended the R-Drive and Voila! I see this!
Nice to see Audi taking care of people who may/may not feature in the commercial gains of the company in a country where customers are mistreated even when a person goes to book a vehicle.

There were a few guys but dont know if they were from t-bhp.I loved their hospitality.They treated us very well even though we didnt look anything like prospective buyersThe rs5 driver was crazy as hell

Was it an open event? I'm sure not everyone could drive the R8 or the RS5, but could everyone come to watch? And from the looks of it, was this N.I.C.E road?

No it was not a open event.My friend was invited to drive those two cars.I and two friends tagged along.Seeing us standing idle they gave us a round in the RS5 I guess people could come and watch but they wanted to keep it low key.The highway patrol people kept bugging the Audi authorities to leave the place as they didnt have permission :/

Yes, seemed very low key considering barely a handful knew such an event was being organized. I guess the low key nature of the event made sure only people genuinely interested got to know of it. Quite unlike the Vodafone's handling of the F1 event where people who might not have ever seen an F1 race were there. Very courteous of them to ferry you guys around in an A8! And to give you a round in the RS5 just for kicks. Those patrol guys must've been hoping for someone to grease their palms to let the event go on smoothly. It wasn't really an "event" as such where stands and seating arrangements needed to be setup. Wonder how the Highway Authorities tackle those Superbike Groups which take shelter under the shade on N.I.C.E road on their Sunday drives.
Anyway, good initiative on the part of Audi which seems to be garnering a lot of positive response from the people for them.

Got an oppurtunity to drive R8 v10 spyder (even with its top down) and also the RS5 !!

Love Audi people for the lovely treatment.

Madness of 525hp I am still in the hangover. Will upload pics later.
