Can't agree with you more. But I have a feeling they would have got away with it if it was anyone other than Marikar. They did zero PR and cant expect the people to find their way into their sales charts. As a matter of fact, majority of the Porsches in Kerala were brought from other state dealerships and there should be a reason why the brand got rejected when introduced in the state.

Btw, is there just two 911s? What happened to the jeweller's black Carrera Coupe? My brother mentioned about spotting it on his trip to Cochin couple of months ago.

That was the plan until part of the deal is that the dealer must have 4 fully paid up cars in the showroom at any one time. That was too much capital to tie up!

I dont think thats the car Avishar is referring to. I have seen a black one with Silver AMG wheels and it definitely looks like a genuine AMG variant. I have never had the chance to get up close. The next time will surely confirm.

Come on! I have never seen more than 2 cars at any given time at the Cochin dealership. Moreover, I doubt whether (after more than a year of existence) they have managed to sell even 4 cars. From what I have heard, the only Panamera which was brought to the showroom was taken back and sold by some other dealer. Porsche Cochin can clearly be called a tragedy.

This is what I was told. May be after this major group walked away, Porsche changed their terms. Anyway the profitability of running such a dealership was lesser than expanding their mainstream dealership for other brands

Naa! I figured that someone was sitting in the car, so I decided to amscrate after taking two pictures. We do see plenty of LX/Land Cruisers around in Bangalore. I agree, it's gangster, but I'd still take a Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography, thank you!

re: Supercars & Imports : Bangalore

Phantom's got the same TR as the Ghost, with the latter sporting cab plates now.

@ ashwin.terminat,

Do you study in VNS or any affiliated college? 'cause Dr. Pai (green Bentley) owns those institutions.

People still love to believe Porsche as a sports car brand which is useless in Indian roads[To a certain extent they are right.]. As far as Kerala is considered people are ready to shell out a few bucks only if the brand is BMW or a Merc.

I also believe that Porsche should have entered Bangalore instead of Cochin.
