Pictures dont always tell the truth mate,I think the sodium vapour lamps makes the black top look orange in clour and hence illusion . I may be worng but thats what I observed.because is does look like the roof line in orange.

I was with it all the way from Lifestyle on Richmond Road, to Lal Bagh South Gate! This Jag is an absolute piece of art! It's magnificent in the flesh! I've always criticized the way the rear looks; I wasn't fond of the way the roof-line and C-pillar swooped at the back. But boy, oh boy was I floored! The XJ-L is a stunning piece of kit!
