Ah,didn't know about the exhaust thing. With a Porsche, the options are endless, and not always end up looking good! Thanks Suhaas!

As you said, wider rear haunches are indeed a give-away for a 4S,though its not easy to make out the case here. Good only if its a 4S!

The pictures on Vittal Mallya Road were snapped at around 5.45AM.
My initial idea was to snap the XF before sunrise , with only the street lights on , but sadly the street lights were turned off yesterday, so had to wait for it to get a little brighter.

BTW , here are some pictures that I snapped today morning.

The blue backlights look awesome in the XF interiors! I prefer the Jaguars interiors over the German competitors.
Nice pics Manish as always!

Don't talk me Ayan!

Oh and speaking of which, I spotted the same Carrera Cabriolet 4S on Lavelle road this evening. What a lovely looking car I must say. Unfortunately, it was coming the other way so I couldn't snap it.

Also spotted the blue 997 Turbo at UB City today but my dad was in a hurry so I couldn't stop to even look at it or take a few pictures! But my day was made!

And I also spotted the BMW GranTurismo. It's got the looks that only a mother could love. 'Nuff said.

@Suhaas , I spotted the 4s too.
Snapped it from the Jag.
It was right next to us at a signal.

Great pictures Manish! Thank you!

But it's still very hard to tell if it's a genuine 4S or just a 4S badged base Carrera Cabriolet. But something tells me that it's just a 2WD Cabriolet.

most definitely a badged 4S. Its definitely not an S cause those exhausts look like the base carrera 3.6.

I am in no position to tell that its an original Carrera 4S cabriolet or just a base carrera cabriolet. But the idea is in case its later why these guys do so? For a layman its an imported/sports car, he/she is not really gonna bother what variant it is. And knowledgeble guys like Tbhp members they can always spot the foul play, so at the end of the day what purpose such fake badging serves that only these guys know.

@manish: love the interior pictures! everytime i see your pictures of my car it makes me think if the car is mine or if it is a advert of the xf! brilliant work!! as far as the carrera is concerned even if it is a 2wd and not a 4s, it was being driven fast.

@hani: it was just a photoshoot, not JayR's show.

I don't mean to sound pedantic, but one cannot differentiate a base Carrera from the 'S' by the number of exhaust pipes. As mentioned earlier, the owner can opt for dual-pipes instead of quad-pipes even on his 'S' variant.

I couldn't have put it across better! It doesn't make any sense pasting a fake badge on a car like a 911. The unfortunate thing is that I've noticed this trend among a number of Porsche owners. There is a 'Turbo' badged Cayenne in Chandigarh too. Sad.

That Porsche is not the AWD. Its the standard (if i may use such a term for a porsche) C2. C2 or C2S can be determined by the colour of the brake calipers. Base has yellow and the 'S' has red ones.
