Why do Volvo make practical cars?
Oh sorry, did I get something wrong here?
Actually Volvo makes cars for people who "practically" do not exist and do not create even a minimal fraction of any niche segment.

I have always, held this thought that big SUV's are absolutely pointless. Makes no sense IMO. Its best to get an endeavour for the purpose it serves. And if a car like that needs to be bought in the first place, I'd buy the Q7 in a heartbeat. Just my 2 cents...

Point taken Preetam! They aren't exactly value for money, but they do serve a purpose and it does make sense to some. A lot like the Honda Jazz. It's overpriced for what it gives, but look at it differently, and it serves the purpose and makes sense!

People who don't want an SUV, but want a car that can tackle bad roads with aplomb and take you safely and in good comfort would buy this car This isn't an SUV. It's just an estate car that comes with a jacked up ride height.

Totally,but in reality there aren't too many people around who fall into that category..! That's why crossovers like the Palio Adventure and Chevy/Subaru Forester failed miserably.These cars fair high on practicality and almost car like dynamics,but tend to carry that half-baked SUV image,the main reason for their failure. The Audi Allroad stands out though. I love it!

This car has been on the forum before. IIRC, it was spotted by preetam_KORG and there was an elderly/middle aged man driving it. Nice spotting, anupam.

The first pic was taken by me over 2 years ago.
The picture is already on the forum.
And the second picture has been taken in Delhi, not B'lore.

I have seen this car twice in Bangalore along with the yellow Gallardo coupe and silver GT-R and Porsches.
Has it been sold off to someone in Delhi now?

@Shamik : See, you have your answer there. Guess Manish was active in TBhp even before we joined it

@Manish :
I agree that the second pic is taken in Delhi.
I think I have come across a similar picture somewhere else too.

True! It's a real pity that the Forester bombed badly in our market. What a brilliant car! the rally derived boxer-4 motor should be the sole reason as to why one should go in for this car! Not to mention the sublime chassis and the sorted 'box and suspension!

Manish, is this orange Gallardo Spyder still around in Bangalore? Haven't seen it in ages!
