Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard that Maserati is looked down upon a lot in the US. As in, the brand has no value. Is that true?

Incorrect, the Maserati has its fair share of fans. It might not get the attention that a Lamborghini or a Ferrari gets, but it is definitely considered an exclusive Italian sportscar, in the United States.

Popular with young, wealthy, Armenians especially on the West coast.

From what i have seen, a lexus is a status symbol in the USA. Especially the LX, GS and LS series. And if a Lexus can be one, Maserati...

In nice neighbourhods, you will often spot a Lexus along with Lambos and other exotics. Cause as SUVs go, the most comfy are the Lexus LX And Range Rovers. Other posh SUVs are the Acura MDX, the Escalade and the Navigator. The last two however, got a little too bling, if you know what i mean. These cars are often featured in lifestyle and luxury magazines. A range topping lexus is often driven by a snobbish person.

Anyways, sorry for going off topic. Wanted to give my opinion. Also, watch the Top Gear test of the Veyron, vs Zonda F Roadster.

If you watch popular US shows like Entourage which is one of the most widely seen show out there. The actors always are around the Maserati cars in the show.

And thanks to all for clarifying about the Maserati. I hope they come out with the cars that Ferrari can't come out with. They've already done the four door segment...maybe they'll do a SUV next?

was good to see the XF and Maserati together.
Both looked hot in Black.
