That's what baffles me a bit, see UP registration is not cheap, it's 2.5% of the car's value if registered in an individual's name & 5% if registered in a company's name. So why would he register the car there?

Unless, it's to save on the 12-odd% he would have to pay in Bangalore which would be a smart move considering that virtually no cop is going to stop that car & ask for papers!!

Road tax in Bangalore is 15.5% and Entry tax of 12% which is a joke. and from the pics of all the supecars in Blr incl bentleys ...all seem to be running on DL plates as it is only 4%. Cant blame them!

Look, if you can afford that car, why cant you afford the most expensive registration? I'm sorry but I'm going to have to say that its typical "Indian" mentality. Very "chindi".

Considering the DRI allegedly hit this guy for his 650C being brought in as a 3 series, I thought one would know better
