True. A lot of supercar owners are taking advantage of the relatively empty roads to take their cars for a spin.

Spotted this Huracan LP610-4 at Lavelle Road yesterday around the same time.

Spotted some other cars too, but couldn't snap a picture.
There was an R8 parked a few metres ahead of this Huracan. Still further down the road were a Z4 (prev gen), Cayman 718, TT RS (current gen) and one S600 Maybach.

Guess it was a productive day after all.

What what it's worth, spotted a VW Rabbit too (a genuine import)... In a way, it was the reason my car came into existence (Polo of your wondering).

Re: Supercars & Imports : Bangalore

Early one Sunday just before lockdown, while heading to the golf course I saw this lovely Ferrari suffering through the horrible Inner Ring road near Sony World where the flyover construction is going on.

I passed the car and chatted for a moment with the young owner. Poor chap he only smiled when I gestured my sympathy to him on account of the horrible road.

Just a few moments later when he reached the good section of the road, the car let out an almighty ROAR and vanished in a cloud of dust and small pebbles, leaving me in my Gypsy at a complete standstill. What a SOUND!

Spotted a brand new Arancio Huracan Evo today turning off towards Jayanagar from Lalbagh. It was being escorted by a GLC43 and an XC90.

Re: Supercars & Imports : Bangalore

This little red Mini Cooper S with black roof 2012 model is my car now. I bought it second hand in 2019 from the original owner Dr Manish in HSR Layout. Lives a couple of streets away from me.

I was just going through this thread and found several references to Mini Cooper S.

Now I feel sort of funny that my Car is also mentioned here.

The reference I found says that it was spotted in HSR Layout first in 2012 when the good Doctor imported it in to Bangalore from New Delhi from the dealer Deutsche Motoren.

I never in my life thought I would own a so-called Super Car/ Import as classified in India.

But then in my book a Mini is just a Mini - A perfectly practical cute little 3 door city runabout! I have always loved Mini since I was a kid.

And I ve always loved the Red Mini in particular. And now when I m almost hitting half century in age, I have finally, with plenty of huffing and puffing managed to reached the goal. And the car still continues to live in HSR Layout...

Volvo is planning on going green; too bad I beat them to it
Not a Super-car, but an unique import nonetheless.
Still remains one of the best additions to the garage.

How was it like on the coffee estate? trail? Any nervous situation with underbelly or tyres? The 20 inch tyres are standard so the side will be limited I guess.

If you read the V90 Cross-Country review - this was done in Coorg. It is brilliant vehicle and handled rough roads without batting an eyelid!

It handled well on the estate except a few areas where the weeds were too high (pun not intended) - the only problem here was the Parking Sensors losing their mind. But apart from that, not at all a problem. The Off-Road mode does everything which is a bittersweet feature I'd say, even automatically enabling Hill Descent Control.

As for the wheels, during the booking process in March 2018, we were informed that cars from 2017 had 20-inch wheels and were not equipped with BlindSpot Information System (BLIS - as Volvo calls it). For the 2018 model, they added BLIS and updated the wheels to 19-inch owing to several customer complaints.

You are almost right, haha. She was named Elsa initially. Aurora was the white cat from Coventry who is in someone else's garage now.

Congratulations sir! The Mini Cooper S may not be a 'supercar' in the true sense of the word, but it is indeed a super little car . It is just about the right size and has the right amount of power to be an absolute hoot to drive in our cities. I test-drove one in 2017, and I've been hooked ever since! I'm saving up to get one, hopefully in the next couple of years, and I'm sure so are many other BHPians .

Wish you many happy kilometres in your little Brit go kart, sir. We'd love to hear more about your experience of buying a pre-owned Cooper S. If time permits, please do consider starting a thread about it. Cheers!

I think it's a great move grabbing up these cars when they're available. Less popular models and body styles can be cancelled any minute by manufacturers and age very well due to their rarity on the streets.

Wagons are so beautiful and I'm glad they're coming back into fashion these days.
