It happened in Chennai quite a while back. At least 2 years ago I think, if not more.

Thats gutsy! Buying the same brand even after it blew up on you

I think the last pic is of a 525d which a ministers relative or son killed someone due to drunken driving.

The last one is the recent BMW case.
He was my junior at college.

He handed himself over though he was not tested positive for alcohol.

P.S. He aint a minister's son but ya i guess a relative. Lives in Chandigarh originally.

If he didn't crash it etc., and it did blow up on him (shocker for a Ferrari though), I'm assuming Ferrari would have offered him a new car. To avoid lawsuits and stuff.

Oh, I wasn't aware of that. But surely they replace the cars with new ones?

Why would they do that? If the car blew up because of the owners fault, then if it is under warranty/has insurance , Ferrari will fix it (in any other country other than India as they are not in India officially and I do not think they offer international warranty for unsupported countries) and return the car to you.

If the car blew up as a result of a mechanical failure that had nothing to do with the driver , then Ferrari will look into it and try and fix the car. The owner may sue the company for the faulty car (highly unlikely as Ferrari would find some fault or the other with the driver) and in return they'd provide the owner with a new 360 or in some cases the new 430 provided the stock of 360 is over. But this just has too many buts and ifs.

And to the previous poster. I thought Lamborghini's of old would suffer from spontaneous combustion, not Ferrari's , but I could be wrong.
