Hey Dippy, lucky you. Must have been a cool experience.

You right GTO. That isnt a 94 Supra. BTW theres a similar white Supra in Bandra. Driven by a lady driver. Very Very well maintained.
Anyways Suraj also has a Chevy Biscayne which is only one of its kind in India. He's planning to restore it.

This is the 1994 Supra :

I agree about the date of manufacture part as '93 saw the arrival of the supra we love the most. I think the TT setup was there even in '92 though.

Great report of the drive and I truly envy you for driving the Mustang first at this garage...and now the Supra!

GTO
Correct. But to clarify between your post and the one below, I believe the first model offered was technically a 1986.5, so you are both kinda right.

Read both posts above about the years(and this one isn't a '94).. But correct on the motor.

No TT in the pre '93 cars.

WRONG. "The Supra was also available in two non-export models in Japan, the JZA70 with a 2.5 L 280 hp (209 kW) twin-turbo 1JZ-GTE, known as 2.5GT Twin Turbo (JZA70), and with a 2.0 L 210 hp (157 kW) twin-turbo 1G-GTE. A special version of the 1JZ-GTE equipped JZA70, the 2.5 Twin Turbo R, had black/grey Recaro seats, a Torsen differential (additional braces to mount the diff), Bilstein suspension and uprated springs, larger sway bars, Momo wheel and gear knob and matching interior trim. This was the fastest factory production version of the MK3 Supra, running a mid 14 second 1/4 mile. The Turbo R also included a change to the R154 gearbox which helped with the well known 1st gear thrust washer problem."

The above statement is taken straight from Wikipedia. Check it our for yourself. Besides, I remember I test drove one in Bombay when my cousin was looking for one. It was also a black one and took part in the SR in '06 but didnt do well because of spark plug problems. The same car when we test drove it was on offer for 8L, now with 600+ bhp its on sale for around 22L.

Well what I meant was.. the 2JZ-GTE was not in the pre '93 cars.. all the others do not matter to be honest. And those were Japan only versions if I read it correctly.

Yes, it was only in Japan but then those are the ones you are likely to see here because of the right hand drive.

Can you advise a contact number for the person who sold this car?

Regret bothering you but do appreciate your assistance.

22 lakhs for this car! What is it with our grey market, and some seriously exaggerated asking prices?
