29,000??? That is just waaaaay over-priced for an 11 year old car, even if it had one only 11,000 km.

Topic Reopened!! Summary Post!!!

The W140 I'm sure is a favorite of everyone. It was built like tank. They were produced between 1992 and 2000. They were sold as the SE/SEL/SEC (S-Class) luxury sedan and coupe, replacing the W126. The W126, mind you, was one of the best cars of the 1980's. The W126 had standard air conditioning, electric and heated seats. All models had petrol V8 automatics. The models were: 380SEC, 420SEC, 500SEC and 560SEC. The W126 was actually replaced by the W140 in 1994.

Available Engines:
148-hp, 3.5-liter I-6 (diesel)
228-hp, 3.2-liter I-6
275-hp, 4.2-liter V-8
315-hp, 5.0-liter V-8
389-hp, 6.0-liter V-12

Available Transmissions:
4-speed automatic w/OD
5-speed automatic w/OD

Available Styles:
S500 2dr Coupe Base
S600 2dr Coupe Base
S320 4dr Sedan Base
S350D 4dr Sedan Base
S420 4dr Sedan Base
S500 4dr Sedan Base
S600 4dr Sedan Base

Woow gordon very well put pics. Sadly Mercedes dont make such cars any more and have become more aero aided and japense.

Forget the Baleno look at the Honda City its looks like a toy infront of the merc.

Yikes, non-leather! Also, those headrest-tvs look out of place...as if they've been glued on.

The W124 is the E Class and the W140 is the S Class. So now decide which is better.

Sppedy, these cars go for max-max..8.0lacs and that too if they're IMMACULATE. as for the 600...no one wants em free...trouble unlimited and guzles gas by the tankfuls.
I know coz i collect mercs and have seen quite a few of 140s which i wanted to purchase. went and bought a 126 300sel...whatta car. willpost pics after ive done up the work she needs.

the w 140 and the L7 for me command respect that the new age beemers and mercs would crave for. The newer 's' class and '7' series pack so much more modern technology but then there s always something missing, especially the tank like looks of their older versions.
