Hai amitc7, I am from Chennai too. Where is this yard located?

Wow thats quite a transformation. I had seen it at my office when I was working in Mumbai 2.5 years ago and had posted it here:

Looks like there is a W140 fan in the Mahim Dargah lane. Spotted two W140s - one covered, while the other was parked on the footpath.

Appeared more to be in 'resting' condition than 'running' though. Moving traffic so couldn't click pics.

Those have been parked there for many years. There are a few W124s also and few Mercs from early 2000s in a sad state. During my midnight joy rides around Mumbai I always used to keep an eye out when passing through that area.

Correct - those W140's have been lying there since a long time. There are also a couple of old Toyota Hiace's and other Jap MUV/SUV's lying there since a long time.

There is also a place in Oshiwara where I have been seeing 3 generations of the Mercedes E Class just lying around on the road gathering dust (a W124, W210 and 2 W211's).

The Grey car was being worked on when I clicked it. Looked more of dismantling for parts rather than repair.

Hope they take the wheel off the grey car and put it on the silver W140. The W221 wheels look totally out of place on a W140.

This beast (the Tank) W140 S600 V12, popular to most motor heads was finally fired up by a Team of Engineers at Candour Auto Tech, Trivandrum, within a month of its appearance at their garage.
The car is suspected to have rejected by a couple of dealerships and major garages since 2011, stating that the car cannot be started after a couple of faulty diagnosis.
The car was abandoned for almost 5 years at a number of workshops and Mercedes dealerships.
