As mentioned on an earlier post in this thread, a new white GTR has come in, seen at Breach Candy, in South Mumbai, same gentlemen (from a royal family) owns a 997 turbo (in greyish black!!)..initially I thought his was the Grey GTR, but i guess he chose the white one !!So that makes Mumbais 2nd GTR, unless Liv2 gets his one in Mumbai..

My math based on import costs involed given by CLS_55_AMG

Base price for GTR premium edition : 8,347,500 yen = 3250000 INR
Shipping from Japan, Insurance, Handling = 2500 USD = 100000 INR
customs duty @ 114% = 3819000 INR

Ex -showroom mumbai price = 7169000 INR
road tax @14% = 1000000 INR
insurance @ 3.5% = 208000 INR

Dealer/Agent margin or handling charges = 500000 INR assumed price

Nissan GTR landed price in Mumbai should be between 8300000 to 8700000 INR based on the way it has been imported. Also note that delivery period for GTR is Japan is obviously less compared to other countries. Initially it was said that people are paying premium for early deliveries. I have not taken that into account here.

Dipen - Your calculation is pretty close to the actual price in India depending on the version ordered.

a better verdict can only come from a owner of both PORSCHE and the gtr, as the person who bought the white gtr just around 10days back in mumbai already admitted that its not any better than the 911 turbo that he already has.
it can be further justified if we consider that he is considering to go for a 911GT2, while upgrading on the turbo.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.. in my opinion the fact is no matter how quick this machine is, the after sales support would be horrid. I mean, places like the middle east are still pondering over the special support staff needed to fix these beasts. Not to mention they aren't available yet even for DHS.450,000/-
Dippy, they might be faster, but taking into account that atleast youre sure that your porsche is still german and the fact that there is huge supply for parts abroad. It's way more easier to maintain. Plus since we have a dealer here. I'm sure the cars warranty is in safe hands.
On the other hand, the GTR with a dent would also give you night mares if they had to disconnect any electrical components.
So what anyone might say about this car, its great in its own accord. But, India isn't the place to own one YET.
Porsches will always remain the true everyday performance machine.
Not to mention the GTR's true ability is only on track. (GPS is controlling your a$$) remember?

+1 - take into consideration that PORSCHE has the Prestige value a Nissan will never have.

Your calculations are good & pretty accurate. Considering there are no other miscellaneous charges that go with clearance which i presume there would be.

anyways 1 cr it too much to pay for a nissan in india. id rather buy this abroad for 33 laks whenever. i love this car in red, killer. paying one crore and driving a car in a country where roads collape just like that. its so scary. i can imagine what a ferrari or lambo driver here must be going through while driving here. every minute the tention of someone scrapping your car..... and if the car was from japan they have RHD there itself. who owns the hypermotor sports anyways ? where are they based ? in india and uk right.
