the 2nd car, the yellow one, is clearly a modded contessa. it ain't an import.
It isn't a Contessa, looks like a Japanese or american car of 80's.....

No, its an import.
It runs a turbo-charged lancer engine with a dry-shot of NOS.
It's a Hindustan College project built by Electra in 2004.

Just because it has a blown engine and nitrous, doesn't mean that it's an import. I see a lot of Contessa parts on it, including the front and rear fenders, the windows, the windscreen and the doors.

You might be right about it being a project car. No car would look like that when it rolls out of any assembly line. The wheels and bumpers are a sure give away.

That looks more like a '96 Toyota Celica.

I'm not a junkyard part hunter. So, I can't make out the Conti parts used in the vehicle. They probably used them.
IIRC, the vehicle is a LHD.
I still may be wrong. But, I'll get back with the pucca details on this yellow machine.

PS: Found an officially sold Fiat Bravo yet?

Hey guys, that yellow car is a Pontiac Astre. It was a project done by my seniors at Hindustan College. It has been converted to RHD and as far I know, it currently runs on a Mitsubishi Lancer engine. Oh, and it has nitrous too. Here's a Wikipedia link: Chevrolet Vega - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sirjee, that's a Pontiac Astro and been used for some project as mentioned by Turbojc .

The photograph owner , Shyam, has also snapped a BMW M5 . He asked to say so , that there is indeed an M5 here and not just a story. Will post pics if mods are ok with it , the pic appears to have a different format and I can't save it after editing the number in MS Paint. Otherwise I'll have to look for some image editing software , or Shyam or I can mail them over.

Nice to see more variety here. I forgot to check the model designation of the red Toyota. Anyone?.

I stand corrected. my judgement as well Suhaas's were based on the strikingly similar fenders as well as windscreen. the angle on the boot too is strikingly similar to the conti. but, the parent car of the conti is a vauxhall victor which is a GM car. so ,the astre could be , an evolution of the victor.
