Another day, another Quattroporte :D! This time, it was a GranLusso-spec example wearing this evocative shade of Rosso Folgore :) .

Spotted it this afternoon on Nungambakkam High Road. Apologies for the poor image quality.

Are we sure that's a legit Turbo?

Cos some things look a bit off, the exhausts are wonky, wheels don't match, the lack of a badging are all red flags. Also, I was under the impression that the ex-DC/presently spcustoms white Turbo and the black MH Turbo S were the only 997.2 Turbos in the country.

Isn't there one PY registered 997.2 turbo S in Goa as well? Do you have pics of the white turbo you mentioned?

The proportions of the car in the posted pics looks perfect for a wide bodied carrera, so it definitely seems to be a turbo. Unless there are carrera 4's or 4s' in the country. The front fender seems to have the gt3rs fender extensions. This then may be the silver turbo with the gt2 front bumper and the ghastly silver vent covers. It also seems to have fixed rear wing lifts to give a 'GT2 style' look. If its the same car, it is WB registered (not sure if it has been changed to TN) and is now sporting a new wrap, possibly 3M's hotrod red. The car is also a 997.1 modded to a 997.2 (has the PCM 2.1).

Who else but you could bring such a question up?! :p
This is a legit turbo, albeit not a 997 Mark II. This is a 997 Mark I turbo with a GT2 body kit and Mark II cosmetic upgrades. I am sure you'd remember this car from it's Mumbai days when it was grey. It initially shuttled between Kolkata and Mumbai while it was with an elderly gentleman known for his penchant for supercars, who now drives a 458 and 488, later it was sold to someone in Mumbai and even spent some time in Nagpur. It's been in Chennai for quite some time now and has some very weird exhausts wrapped in some kinda cloth/insulation. Image attached below.

And I think there are 3 997 Mark II turbos in India. Apart from the two you named, there's a black one in Goa too. Also, are you sure the MH Black with red interior car is an S?

Bang on!

Attaching pics of both, the white turbo and the one discussed above in it's grey avatar.

Oh no! It was the one with the Gemballa bits and all!

Looks sad now TBH.

Oh yeah, I missed the Goa one. I believe the MH car is an S, friend of mine was offered the car not so long ago and he said it was advertised as an S only. Center lug wheels should be a clue.

Random pic off the web.

Aha, then there's a good chance that the Goa car is an S too. It has the same wheels, blacked out with a red lip. Unicorns, these are!

It does look a bit off given the wrap, the aftermarket wheels, and the exhausts, but it is a legit 997 Turbo, replete with its signature wide rear fenders with air-intakes. It's a PY-reg car, originally Agate Grey, but now it sports this bright orange wrap.

Here's another picture from up close:

Here are a couple of pictures of the car from Instagram, before it was wrapped:

Not necessarily, cars can be spec'd with centre lug wheels. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) gives it away as it comes standard on the S. Yellow vs the red caliper.

So, the MH Turbo S is still in Mumbai? I thought it was the Mumbai car that got sold to Goa.

They are two different cars. The MH car is elusive and has MH plates whilst the Goa car is PY registered AFAIK. The Goa was a beautiful shade of deep red (Ruby Red?) when delivered. The owner resprayed the car black like all his other cars.

Spotted RR ghost opposite Park hotel Nungambakkam and a Quattraporte outside evoluzione store on KNK road.

GL63 spotted at Hyatt Regency Chennai. Saw a Flying Spur as well when I was leaving, but couldn't manage to take a photo.

Having spotted this a zillion times, finally got a crappy pic.

Spotted this Jeep grand cherokee SRT at Leela palace front porch.
