Going by the wheels, stance and the front bumper, looks like a legit M3 to me. However, with loads of neat impersonators around, I may be wrong.
And if at all it is a legit M3, then is the color called Atacama Yellow? One seen on the Z4?

the stance seems slightly off.. the brake discs are really hard to spot.. the ones on the Blue m3 are really prominent even from a distance. also that colour isnt an M3 option.. and is the hood missing the bulge? i think this is a copy, but a sweet one at that..
p.s: Those look like the wheels on the M135.

It's a legit M3 bro. I saw this car from a distance, and thought it was a wrapped 3-Series, but then two of my colleagues spotted it up close near R.A.Puram on Friday, and they confirmed it was an M3.

It seemed more like a bright orange in person. I wasn't able to find this shade on BMW's online configurator though. Guess it might be a personalised paint/wrap job.

That's a regular 3 with a replica kit. Zoom in and you can see the normal side view mirrors instead of the aerodynamically crazy ones of the M cars.

I hope they saw more than just the logo? being your colleagues, i don't think that would have been the case but still

Isn't the mirror a bit too blurred to say? even the telltale side vents are blurred.. the leaves have positioned themselves perfectly to make us lot scratch our heads haha.. but I think it should be a replica too. wonder how he sourced those rims? I think they're the most beautiful rims in BMWs current lineup.

It is a mystery indeed . The leaves have obscured the only details that set an M3 apart from the standard 3-Series. Going by what my colleagues told me, and the image posted here, it seems like an authentic M3 to me. We'll have to wait till a clearer image surfaces to confirm that though. Those in Chennai, keep your eyes peeled and cameras primed !

You don't get to see that color in a regular 3 series. I couldn't look for the finer details as I was driving , but this car caught my attention like a few hundred metres away! Thanks to the color!
I'm sure that this is an M3!

I know. The m4 has just 2.

But then check out the door sill above the Windows. That I'm pretty sure aren't part of the m3.

Seems highly unlikely that a person will buy an m3 and replace the doors with the 3 - just to be on a safer side

It's a legit M3 all right, running on standard 18-inch wheels, which don't have the clearance to accommodate the optional carbon ceramic brakes . As for the colour, I'd say it seems like Fire Orange.

I've seen an Aston Martin sharing garage with a Mini in west mambalam! Maybe this is that one?
