I doubt if its brand new as Aston has terminated the Rapide production and replaced it with the Rapide S.
Looks like a freshly wrapped Rapide to me, hence no plates? Or did it have "A/F" or "Applied for regn" plates?

And oh! Do I see a spoiler on her?

Re: Supercars & Imports : Chennai

It's beautiful, and I speak as a guy who is not, generally, wowed by sports cars.

Spoiler? Yes, it does look like it. I'll leave it to the experts to say that that is not original, but if so, who on earth thinks they can improve on the lines of an Aston Martin, or improve its airodynamics!

A shot of the white G55 AMG taken a few months back.

A couple of photos of one of the big blue brutes in Chennai. Wish I could have just one of the rear wheels to hang on my wall and admire all day..

Spotted this immaculate Nissan Skyline at Ooty's only functional signal (Charring Cross) . Had a Coimbatore registration. Very very tastefully done. No over the top stuff.

Had a brief chat with the owner for a few seconds Very humble and soft spoken guy. Said it's a 95' model with a bigger turbo. And then the signal turned green Sweet sounding too!

Wow!! An R34!
Looks Gorgeous!!
CBE registered? Way to go! He must have had a blast driving it on the ooty that section! Looks kind of different because of smaller alloys?

Yep, it is CBE tn-37 registered The wheels are well proportionate with the car. It looks odd because of the angle of the photograph. Was taken while moving

Because of the different body kit too! I thought it was the GTR! But the boot has only "GT" on it!
GTRs have a bigger body kit that make them look different!

Re: Supercars & Imports : Chennai

This is probably the only 4-door Nissan Skyline in the country.
The coupe looks killer and is much better looking though the sedan is more practical in India.

The tail lights are really timeless. Honda Civic previous gen took some inspiration from this.

Great find, timeless thing that. However, I'm fairly certain it isn't a '95 model due to the fact that the R34 made its debut in 1998.

I may not be as knowledgeable as you are But going by the short conversation that I had with the owner of the car, am pretty sure he was not pulling a fast one

See, the wheels are not out of proportion after all :-)

Nice find.. Although like many others have said, it can't be a '95.. It should be a '98 at the earliest. And yes, they did sell 4-door sedan versions of the Skyline in Singapore / Malaysia a lot. If I'm not mistaken, it was sold without the HICAS all wheel steering and the flared body kit option..

My two cents..

Hi! The Skyline you've snapped is the rarer GT-T version. There was an article about this model on BS Motoring quite a while back:

http://www.bsmotoring.com/news/nissa...updance-/776/1

Quoting from the article:

Quote:
... the four year search for the elusive R-34 ended not with the GT-R, but with the GT-T, its relatively unknown, cunning sister. The divergent line of thought is in the way the two cars are tuned. The GT-T carries a single turbocharger, instead of two and smack your lips, it’s rear-wheel drive.

It’s the lighter GT-T that has been the drifter’s favourite, and not the certified, four-wheel drive lunatic. And like every other sportscar from the land of the rising sun, it stuck to the gentleman’s agreement to never exceed 280 bhp...

Re: Supercars & Imports : Chennai

Last weekend saw a Grey Porsche Panamera with very bad LED lighting all over the front and rear like an Indica cab. He got the cheap white led strip running all through the front grille and on the rear between tail lights. Driven insane with high throttle input to show off the rumble throttle note on busy T.Nagar streets.
