Well yes, I have a prius and when in electric mode it's..... silent

I guess since this has way more power it makes a stronger 'whining' sound!

Tesla Sound is very muted.
It sounds like a Jet turbine but at an extremely low volume.
When I saw it the driver did a burnout, there was a hiss sound from the car, rest was the tyre screeching sound.

Wow thats an awesome catch. High performing electric car , love it. I did like it the first time I saw it on Top Gear only.
Are they taking the vehicle back or do they plan to sell it ?
Looks awesome in this color also.
And as for the sound being monstrous, I think anmol is referring to the immense whining noise produced by the electric motor.

That indeed is a rare car to be spotted in India. Tesla is surely eye catching.

I bet as many people clicking SRK were also clicking the beautiful Tesla

Love the rims that it is sod with . Aren't the exhausts protruding a little too much ?
