Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit

Well I think it's a Silver Spirit hope I'm right.

Saw this baby in a petrol bunk when I was on my way back from Vedanthangal bird sanctuary. I was clicking away like mad ( without realising I had only 5 pics left as my camera's memory card was full) and the car was about to waft away. The owner was very nice and asked me if I was done clicking. I was, actually, whether I liked it or not!

It was SSOOOO regal and wonderful, wafting over the concrete floor of the bunk like goddess. *sigh*

I have 3 more pics, if anyone's interested please don't hesitate to ask!

That is Awesome!!! Remember seeing a dark blue on in Mumbai.!! Very nice pics...just u should have take some rear pics too.

I guess these were taken on Saturday - had seen this Silver Spur II parked there and kids were playing on top of it. Reminded me of the song where people were dancing on the Rolls Royce Phantom for a song.

The same car was on sale a few years back at a dealer in Kurla.

Any experts on Rolls Royce prices?

Have been offered a 1989 Silver Spur - looks like in immaculate condition. The car is still with the first owner (at least that's what has been told). The "informant" has asked for an offer as he was not entirely sure about what the price the owner is expecting.

What should be the fair price of the car?

It's difficult to put a price to a Rolls Royce since they are pretty rare in India. However, by any chance is it this car?

Unless you really get a detailed inspection of a RollsRoyce it can be either a bargain or terrible nightmare.

I love these cars. But the build quality is pretty poor. All cars from this era rust badly. It might not show, but you really know what and where to look.
40000k in 40 years is 1000 km a year. That is very very low for any car. I would look for very detailed provenance before I would believe the mileage.

Mechanically these cars are pretty strong and fairly simple. Although you might find endless little niggles. Unless you like spannering yourself a lot, it is going to cost you a bundle.

One other thing, these cars are absolutely massive! It might not fir in a regular garage.

Over the year, me and my Peter have been tempted many times to buy one of these. But so far no luck
