My uncle just imported a 745li. Cost him about 36L (we can import 1 car duty free every yr). My dad is thinking of importing a 760li soon.

How do you import one duty free every year !?

I heard that rule was changed for export houses. It is nice to hear you have made use of the rule and got the car way cheaper. Congratulations and hope you get your car soon.

@ Sahil. There is a certain amount that you have to export every year. In return you get credits which is normally used to import raw Material or other goods duty free by companies. This can also be exchanged for importing a car or any other Product. So Like Manitkat has brought down a car, he has to pay the duty for the Raw materials his company imports. So his yearly quota is over.

I dont know if you are aware but you can buy the car from the showroom itself and avail of this benefit. So you still have the warrenties provided by the showroom. Plus it is a proper channel saving you the headaches.

BMW 7 series

This 7-series is better looking than the present 7series.
The present does not have the character of the 7 series.
This series was the best looking of all the 7 series and I would consider it a modern classic.I dont get it what made BMW make the new 7 series. Its really ugly.
Hope you guys agree on that.

The current 7 looks more stately, understated and conservative and defies BMW's sporty image. It definitely has presence and looks great but has that huge mis-fit of a kidney grille!

Some life into this old thread. Unless these pics have to be moved somewhere. I spotted this one about 3 weeks back outside a bunk on SV Road, Bandra.

A beautifully maintained e38.This car is supposed to have one of the most comfortable rear benches and very supple ride this side of a Rolls Royce.
