Porsche India has listed the new Cayenne GTS and Cayenne Coupe GTS on its official website. The SUVs are priced at Rs 1,99,99,000 and Rs 2,01,32,000 (ex-showroom) respectively.



The Cayenne GTS comes with the SportDesign package as standard. It includes cosmetic elements such as a gloss black grille, rear diffuser, side skirts and wheel arches. The SUVs ride on 21-inch RS Spyder wheels.



Inside, the GTS versions get a 3-spoke steering wheel with a digital instrument cluster and GTS Sports seats. The SUVs also get features like a 4-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, sport exhaust and a touchscreen infotainment system with a 14-speaker Bose sound system.



The Cayenne GTS is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that develops 493 BHP and 660 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The GTS versions get a specifically tuned chassis with adaptive air suspension that can lower the vehicle by 10 mm, PASM, PDCC, torque vectoring, beefier brakes with optional carbon ceramics and the Sport Chrono package.

Reasonably priced for a v8 Porsche, adjusting for inflation, it's a bit cheaper.

That is because it is the Cayenne turbo / turbo S e-hybrid / turbo GT that go head to head with the Urus and RSQ8

Personally I would still pick the Porsche. It looks way more mature.

The Cayenne turbo GT is faster than the Urus. However, group model hierarchy doesn't alllow Porsche to spec power above the Urus as they all use the same engine from the VW parts bin.

For the Urus, you pay about 1.5 crores to get 15 bhp more than the Cayenne turbo GT.

There’s very little to differentiate the turbo GT from the Urus except for the brand.

The price difference isn’t as much as it is in India anywhere else either. Guess they figured when you buy a watch for 8.2 crores, the Urus looks cheap.

The RSQ8 & Urus go up against the full-fat Turbo. This is more of an SQ8 equivalent. Also, the Porsche starting price is deceptive because almost all modern creature comforts that you would expect in a 2Cr car are optional.

The configurator is live and it seems you can get a reasonably equipped car for the last price, 7 no cost option colours and 21 inch spider wheels. A leather interior with ventilated seats all around, insulating glass in the front and rear wheel steering costs about 16 lakhs. A 8% markup is a discount in this class.

These look like introductory prices, the GTS has its own following and may not be to everyone's taste, especially the dark trim. No word on fuel quality / consumption , as this doesn't require homologation.
