That is not a customer car (yet). This Eletre is being used by the NCR dealer as a demo/display vehicle for prospective customers.

Re: Lotus to enter the Indian market with Emira & Eletre EV

Colin must be rolling in his grave when he sees this monstrousity.

Compared to the original Lotus, apart from being very ugly, this is a complex car. Even in the West you would be very hard pressed to find a Lotus dealer.

Lotus production quality was never that great to start with. Alfa Romeo owners would look down on it, which is saying a lot.

The electrical technology comes largely from China I think. Which means it could be great or pretty horrendous.

I would have to be really desperate before I buy an electric Lotus.

Lotus to open its first showroom in India this month

According to a media report, British sports car maker Lotus Cars is all set to open its first showroom in India this month.

Exclusive Motors has been appointed as the dealer partner for Lotus Cars in India. The brand's first showroom is located at the World Trade Centre in New Delhi.

The showroom has space to display up to five vehicles. There's also a dedicated room where customers can configure their cars by selecting from a wide range of exterior colours, wheels, interior themes, and tech features.

Lotus announced its entry into the Indian market with the launch of the Eletre on November 9, 2023. The electric SUV is priced at Rs 2.55 crore (ex-showroom). The company is now said to be gearing up to introduce the Emeya electric hyper-GT and Emira sports car in India.

Re: Lotus to enter the Indian market with Emira & Eletre EV

Lotus Emeya launched at Rs 2.34 crore.

The range-topping Emeya R can go from 0-100 kph in 2.8 seconds, over 33 percent quicker than the other two variants.

Lotus has brought its second electric car, the Emeya, to India. With ex-showroom prices starting at Rs 2.34 crore for the base variant, the Lotus Emeya sits below the Eletre SUV and is a part of the Geely-owned firm’s plan to go all-electric by 2028. Lotus has yet to reveal prices for the Emeya’s S and R variants.

Emeya is the first electric grand tourer from Lotus
Gets 102kWh battery with up to 610km of WLTP range
India-spec Emeya available in six colours

Dual motors for AWD are standard on all three variants of the Emeya: standard, S and R. The front and rear motors on the base Emeya and Emeya S are good for 600hp and 710Nm of torque; the sprint time from 0-100kph is 4.2 seconds, and the top speed is 250kph. The range-topping Emeya R is the most powerful, with 905hp and 985Nm, going 0 to 100kph in 2.8 seconds and maxing out at 256kph.

All three get a 102kWh lithium-ion battery pack with an 800-volt support. With a 350kW DC fast charger, the battery can be topped up from 10 percent level to 80 percent in 18 minutes. Charging via a 22kWh AC wall charger takes 5.5 hours. The car’s WLTP range is 610km for the standard variant, 540km for the S and 435km for the R; these only apply when sticking to the default 20-inch wheels.
