Came across this piece of news about how GS isn't happy with his MC20 and Stallantis gives him a canned response. Iam amused that we, lesser mortals are not the only ones being ignored. I do understand that his case may reach some conclusion unlike ours but the first response is just as bad as it is to a Jeep Compass owner- denial of any issue.

Frankly I can never mentally prepare to decide on buying any Stellantis product after that incident with how the management responded to it. I wish Mr.Singhania all the best with his uber expensive purchase. This is the same attitude that caused Fiat to shut shop here and the sooner they come off their high horse the better it will be for them.

Gautam Singhania, the chairman and managing director of the Raymond Group recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his concerns about the Maserati MC20.

Dropping words like 'dangerous' and 'kill' on social media sounds immature, not to mention playing with fire. Imagine if Stellantis took this chap to court for defamation and absolutely rinsed him.

He should be clear in the nature of his grievance, not throw his (decidedly minuscule in comparison to Stellantis) weight around with bombastic statements.

Gautam takes on Maserati now :) Hope he creates something meaningful out of it other than just a lawsuit.

He has the financial resources to take Maserati & the dealer to Consumer Court, the Courts are not going to take suo moto cognizance of his grievances which he's voiced on Twitter! This is not the first brand or dealer which he's had a problem with. I recollect him voicing certain grievances some time back & warning brands to be vary of certain dealers.

Seems like quite a ridiculous statement from GS. You drive a car within the limits of the car - you don’t expect a car to perform at the level you want. He can say it is not fit to be a supercar and it is the worst car he has driven - but don’t see how he can call it dangerous unless it does not meet crash safety standards.

GS has publicly cited his grievances though we cannot be sure whether these are genuine or not? It is evident that Maserati did not respond well to GS' averments about his MC 20.

Finally, more than grievances about technicalities of the MC 20 it has manifested into a ego clash between the car maker Maserati (Stellantis owned) and GS.

Those few worded tweets reveal very little. If GS is serious about what he is saying, why not release a complete 2-3 page statement with details on the issues faced by him and substantiate his claims on the vehicle being unsafe.

Maybe he should invite Clarkson to India and let him drive and say what he feels more classically :)

Singhania is no amateur, and this is not the only fast car he has. Sadly, many of these fast cars are mostly purchased on looks or power rather than handling. Maybe he should be heading to a Porsche showroom instead of wasting time here with Maserati.

Let's not write off GS's statements as BS. He's an experienced driver with track experience and he might be on to something.

But first, he needs to be more elaborative on what's wrong. Also, surprised at Maserati on how it's handling the issue - absolute PR disaster. Could've handled it way better even if they don't agree with him.

Rich guy takes on rich corporation. And the rest of us take sides and cheer from the sidelines. Both brands get the publicity they want and all of us who will most probably never even get to sit in the car being discussed are being led along quite nicely.

How much experience do we have driving such cars compared to him ? There should be something if he is saying this openly. Maserati saying all cars undergo evaluation and are perfect when they leave the factory is amusing. We shouldn't have recalls or lemons if its that perfect.
