Fast X - the latest edition of the Fast & Furious series was screened at the Jio Drive-in theatre at the Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai on May 17. Team-BHP was invited to the show.



Every time a new Fast & Furious movie is released, there is excitement among not only the fans of the series but also car enthusiasts. This time too, things were no different. The organisers arranged an underground meet with over 150 cars in attendance. These included supercars, sports cars, performance sedans, SUVs, classics and modded machines.

While some cars came on a flatbed, others drove down to the venue:


The venue was fantastic with an excellent layout. The organisers did a great job of controlling the number of cars and the crowd. This meant there was more than enough space to park all cars that came in.

Very soon, the place was full of enthusiasts. Some from the future generation got their rides as well . Just look at that little boy & his yellow car!


About the Organisers:

Underground is a team of racers and automobile enthusiasts who have come together to create a platform for tuned, modified and passionately maintained Cars in the country under Tapaswi Racing.

Underground Edition 8 - in collaboration with Fast X Universal Studios and Warner Bros - brought together a special world premiere for automobile enthusiasts in Pune and Mumbai.

All in all, it was a superbly organised and fun event. Not only was it full of interesting cars, but it also gave me an opportunity to meet some friends who I had not seen in years. I haven't seen so many happy faces together at one place in a very long time.

It was a great turnout of cars at the event. Lots of familiar cars along with some new ones and old friends too. And it was awesome to feel the high revving atmosphere all around. This was my first visit to the Jio drive in and I couldn't have visited at a better occasion.

It was fun to catch up with you and GTO after a long time and watch the film over car talk.

While you have covered all the cars, here is a picture of a guy I clicked trying to be cool and almost laying on the hood of the green 911 for a picture. I really wish people would learn some etiquette on how to treat other's cars. I'm sure the owner would have skinned him alive. I certainly would have.

Great report of a fantastic event, Aditya! Standouts to me were:

- Extremely well-organised event & crowd control. The sheer space at the Jio Drive-In helped for a nice, properly spread-out display of cars.

- This is one event that wasn't about the Ferraris or Lamborghinis. Rather, it was about special machines like the AC Cobra, the well-maintained MR2 (not the other weirdly kept one), the many Porsches & AMGS & ///Ms and an overall assortment of cars (Ford Focus, GT-Rs, EVOs, Beetles, Coopers, Trumphs & tricked out SUVs).

- Love the air & the environment. Everyone was so happy just hanging out, and looking at the cars. Kids included!

This by far is the most extensive gathering of high performance cars I’ve seen in Mumbai. Thank you for capturing and sharing for our eyes to feast on. Love how you guys also included the not so expensive but well maintained relatively ‘regular’ cars at the end. That’s how you know you’re on T-Bhp where it’s never about the price of the car but the passionate drive behind it.

Also, that photo of the moron lying on the hood of the Porsche is cringeworthy. Probably another clout chaser on IG or whatever the latest social media flavor of the month is.
