It is said that 'Porsche Approved' centres will provide customers the option to buy, sell or exchange certified pre-owned cars. The company aims to provide used cars at competitive prices. It will also offer accessories, insurance and financial support to customers.

The Volkswagen Group currently operates two used car verticals in India. Das WeltAuto was launched in 2019 and is said to have sold over 20,000 vehicles in 2021.

Audi also has its pre-owned car business called Audi Approved Plus. It currently has 14 centre across India.

Here's an interesting bit though - the car's original colour is Jet Black Metallic. But it has been changed as per the new owner's specification.

It's actually a wrap done by the Kochi dealer. Porsche now allows dealers to do mods like these and bill customers directly in an effort to make them viable.

Same for the Used car programme. Will help the dealers massively.

Thanks for this info. I honestly never heard about these!

Would love to hear from any BHPians, who have had experiences with these centers before. I assume the price would still have some premium as these used cars are dealt with, by VW and Audi, but is it worth it?

And as an owner, does listing your cars at these centers have any additional benefits (monetary or otherwise)?

This has been in the making for a long time now. In fact both of the last two Mumbai dealers had told me this was something being worked on and awaiting final approval from Porsche India. Good to see they've finally gotten it going!
