Its a very girly car, this new beetle. There was a time they offered a plastic flower of the same color of the car to be hung inside by the glove box. State side the only people who drive this car are women or guys who are very nerdy or with questionable sexual orientation.

Oh, I know the flower near the a/c vents. Actually i was expecting that in the Indian version too, But thank god they were excluded. Abroad, yea it is majorly a chicks car. But here, it is mostly a rich guy's wife's or parent's car. Weird.

OT - Akki(Akshay Kumar) shown us some example driving the VW Beetle Cabrio in Kambakhth Ishq. Don't know if people ended up considering that as a encouragement to buy a bug and think it is not a lady-bug.

+1
Yes
There is nothing in these cars that make them worth so much. I hold the same opinion about the Fiat 500 and the Mini Cooper as well

But then its more like people's dream which kept on bugging them to buy a Bug. Its not whether its worth it or not.

It is somewhat a similar feeling with me.
But, my feelings for this car are not for the NEW BEETLE but the old one, precisely the HERBIE BUG! Love it to no end, given the money, I'd certainly invest in a vintage bug but surely not the new one.

+1 to that. I've always been a Herbie bug fan. There was a classic bug with my dad's classmate, a renowned Hollywood/Bollywood director. But he refused to sell it because of his dad's personal attachment with the bug. Few years later, he crashed it thus putting an end to the classic bug dreams of my family

OT- wouldnt it have been more economical to get it registered in CH rather than AP,as am sure the taxes would be higher in AP than CH?
