Glad I'm not the only one laughing, hope some poor chap (not financially) with just enough change to spare for these luxoboxes, doesn't end up buying one, the repair/replacement costs will ruin him.

And, yes the exotic car dealers are on the worst kind of medication that most of humanity are on - greed. Hilarious pricing, so much that I thought this thread is a comedy. Most of these cars are so ancient that they don't deserve half of the asking price, might as well buy a new Porsche or Aston Martin if one is throwing ridiculous 8 figures away anyway why not treble it and get new, if not a new car from the big 3 with latest gadgets and comfort.

Who on earth will pay 65 lakhs for a 10 year old car that is a car garage's best friend, one that probably felt dated at launch and now feel ancient as someone pointed out in one of the previous comments. This thing was not reliable even when new. One can only be expected to shell out so much for that lusty engine and it's howls and snarls.

Some of these ads really tempt you.. there are also a lot of premium cars in the 25-50 lakh bucket.

But one should always factor in 2 things:-
1 - ownership cost: these beauties are high maintainance.
2 - depreciation: in % terms super premium cars tend to depreciate higher compared to regular cars.

But at the end these cars are bought by the heart.. not the mind..

The dealers misdirection aside, does it even make sense to buy a decade old car for more than 50L for using it for less than a couple of years?

The 10/15 Year NGT rules are only applicable in Delhi & NCR and if you look closely most of these cars are registered in other cities except metros to avoid high taxes & then run in the big cities.

Practically speaking, it would never make sense to buy any car that is over 10-15 years old but in the case of imports it's all about how rare the car and how well it has been cared for. At the end, you buy these cars with the heart and not the head

The prices are ridiculous. Rs 67 lakhs for a 2015 Boxster!

I wish India had something like Carsandbids or Bringatrailer to really know the correct market price of these cars.
