me and my friends went for movie m.i.3...movies awesome but a orange lamogini was crashed in tht anyways coming back after the movie we all went to D DHABA near lokhandwala some where there v saw an hot sexy silver AUDI TT ROADTESTER parked was looking awesome n it was KA regestered any one of you have seen it before or i m the first one to see....

read earlier in this thread that some guy was asking 35Ls for a pre-owned audi TT??????

wtf?????? new audi TT is sumwhere near 32 lacs ex-showroom delhi n the onroad cost is 34 L +

btw,the audi tt is just 150 bhp n the engine is same as the skoda rs(thats what the audi sales woman told me.....n i dunno if she meant SAME engine or same BHP

) .....its 0 - 60mph is 8.4 sec...........hmmmmm.......after spending more than twice of a skoda RS , dont u think one should atleast get some decent power n acceleration ?? so that a slightly tuned RS does not smoke it like the supra did the ferrari in the fast n the furious ......heh

Twister the sales woman was right it is the same 1.8 four cylinder turbocharged engine which apart from the RS is also featured in the Golf, Seat Altea, Audi A3 etc.

hmmmmm......nice nice........but by same engine,u meant the same engine (specifications n all) or the SAME engine?

..........what i wanna ask is that only the specifications are same or the whole motor is same.n if the whole engine is same in both the cars,then who actually made the engine n who borrowed??? skoda`s or the audi`s or sum1 else?????

Volkswagen owns Audi and Skoda, amongst other companies. The 1.8 is the Golf engine, supplied to all these subsidary companies owned by the parent, Volkswagen.

On a higher scale, the 5 Liter V10 of the Gallardo (Lamborghini) will be used in the new Audi R8, but supercharged to give around 610 bhp. It's insane how these companies keep throwing about the same engines, but just altering the overall physical appearance and the punch it packs. I guess it aids the Research and Development costs, providing a somewhat template for all the companies to share.
