Saw this a couple of days back in Kochi. The joy of seeing this iconic car and that too in the same shade as the farewell scene from F&F was pure bliss . Any idea whose it is & specs?

As far as I know it's a non-Turbo and was originally a champagne gold-ish shade (which I prefer over this) and was recently redone in white.

Interesting, since that colour was never offered by Toyota. Can't remember a golden Supra in India at any point. Any pics or links to the older avatar of this car?

The matte yellow/golden shade was a wrap. Used to be silver earlier.

Hmm, interesting. Any background on this car? Can't recall a silver NA car - there were a few other coloured NAs including a KL reg, but they all got upgraded with Aristo motors AFAIK.

From what I recollect, this was a KA regd car, re-regd to KL-07. It has been in KL for quite a few years now but was often spotted in Chennai too.

Yes, the golden one was a KL07 registered car and to my understanding it got painted to white. I havent seen it out all that much after it got painted to white, though I have spotted it parked at a home for quite some time. I might have some old pictures of the golden avataar, let me try and dig it up.

Had noticed the red parts earlier and could be right that the car was originally red. Maybe it was repainted to silver during its early days in the country. Never seen pics of it in red though.

Sorry for the late reply. This BMW i8 was picked up by my neighbor (businessman) in July'20. He owns a Hyabusa which is his daily driver bike for a decade or more. He had a red BMW Z4 too which had appeared in a couple of Malayalam movies. The BMW i8 carries a PY plate and he has some actual roots in PY. Z4 & Busa has left the garage I guess when he came back from once-controversial issue .
