Yes, from tcr, belonging to a jeweler's son in law. recently restored, and i heard it got a hopping suspension set up. And another fact is that its a "single owner" vehicle.

Thanks for the inputs, any possibility of seeing a detailed restoration or at least a pictures thread?

He is not on TBHP as far as I know (he is my classmate). When we were in school, late 80s, he has come to school a couple of times in this car. I love everything about the car, other than the alloys.

Did anyone see a red or orange Lamborghini Hurracan (not sure of the color lingo used in Lambo)? Just saw it pass by on the opposite road at Edapally. Wonder if it's the Calicut one that finally got delivered after taking the white Aventador back.

No the red Huracan belongs to a different garage. The Calicut car is a blue Huracan LP580-2 Spyder.

The red Huracan is from Thrissur. It replaced the yellow Gallardo.

The limitation of this platform is the size of the wheels which can't go beyond 19". To get the imposing looks like RR/Bentley cars, they need to have 20"-21" wheels.

The factory tyre which was RFT had some issue and was replaced with tubeless tyres. I was told the replacement was done under warranty.

The condition of the roads here, in Kerala, is pathetic. Going for 20-21" will be suicidal. Infact the other day I saw a Merc A class with front two alloy wheel broken on the highway after going over a big pothole, which was on a blind curve.

I mean larger rolling diameter, not just rim diameter. See this pic: it is a 21" rim with same sidewall as S600 19"

Larger wheels with sufficient tire sidewall profile actually improve the ride, but require heavy duty components (powerful engine, suspension, steering, etc.)

Not true. The S600 internationally comes with 20 inch rims. Here is a pic.

A friend of mine has put these same rims in his S500 Maybach and they fit perfectly.

I am guessing the rolling diameter would be same across all S class models including Maybach trim and for this platform going beyond 19s will result in ultra low profile tires. It is no different from you deciding to put 20s on your S350.

I am no customer for Maybach but just because of the badge it doesn't make it a candidate for 20s. If someone puts 19s on E class, they won't look or ride as good as the 19s on S class because of the small rolling diameter, less rubber, etc.

That Maybach looks sooo boring, from all sides. And what a contrast Hellcat is. I wish we get to see more American cars on our roads--Mustang, Challenger, Charger, Camaro. They look so stunning next to boring German , Japanese and korean cars.

The grey Murcielago from Hyderabad spotted at Kochi. Not sure if it found a new home or if its just visiting.

A friend who is DN's neighbor said a Ferrari FF has been added to the garage. Any update?
