Why Nissan Datsun poster in a BMW showroom. AFAIK, both doesn't have any relation.

EVM group holds both the Nissan-Datsun and the BMW dealership in Cochin. It seems the earlier owner ran into some problems financially and had to shut down.

If you are talking about the white LP 560, the the Kolanchery gentleman was the 4th owner of the car. The car changed two hands in Delhi before being sold off to Kolkata.

Didn't know it had changed hands in Delhi itself. IIRC, the white LP560 first came to Kerala (Kolanchery) way back in 2012, then got sold to Kolkata and later came back to join the multi exotic garage in Calicut.

Because the new BMW showroom was a Nissan-Datsun showroom just a few months back.

If am right, the Datsun part of the showroom became the BMW showroom, while the Nissan part is being shared by Nissan-Datsun right now.

Re: Supercars & Imports : Kerala

So not sure if this post is in the right place but my friend is importing a Toyota Commuter van from Thailand but he also did a lovely job customising it's interior. Those seats look like a kings throne and there are 7 interior color schemes to choose like the S class
Mods...please change the post if it's in the wrong place.

That Hiace looks so cool.

Is it a brand new one, cause AFAIK, one has to import a new car from the country of manufacture, so is that the reason your friend is importing from Thailand.?

What's the customs charges? Is it the 10% one of commercial vehicles or the whole 110% of imported CBUs?

Yes, he's actually using it for his tourist business and went through an agent in Delhi to make the arrangements to get the car here officially. Obviously because of his taxi/tourist permit, there should be a considerable reduction in taxes via such govt incentives. Not sure of the total costs though.
I know he got the car brand new from Toyota but the interior work is done independently, they specialize in doing this for such cars (you can notice multiple Hiaces there).
When I was there on vacation, I had traveled from Bangkok to Pattaya in a similar vehicle but much older of course but same kind of customized interior. It was amazing and comfortable and that led to me to sending the pics to my friend and coincidentally he was planning for something similar.

Just saw this car pass by me today near Kaloor. At first I thought it was a modified lancer but it just felt too big in proportion for a lancer. Thanks for confirming this.

Haha, You're not the first one to make that mistake! This model Holden Commodore was originally released in 1997 as the "VT" series - undoubtedly, the handsomest Aussie car ever made.
It was a runaway sales success (also due to the fact that its direct competitor, Ford Falcon's new model was absolutely *ugly).
Four years later, Holden released the "new" VY series (the red KL07 car above), but the designers had completely spoiled the design by adding angular headlamps & taillights.

It was purely change for change's sake. I still remember seeing this car on the road for the first time, from the rear & thinking "That Lancer seems too big", then going "#$@* What have those morons done?!!! How could they ruin those beautiful lines!?.."

See the original VT Commodore's photos below:

Re: Supercars & Imports : Kerala

Spotted a CH Registered BMW X6. It had a silver paint job with glitter in it (that's the best description I can give). Sorry for the image quality, my mobile is not at its best without flash.

When it accelerated from the signal though, it left a smokescreen that would make your average Government bus/truck proud
