Pardon me on this upsetting post, but the word on the street is that the Scuderia Stripe'd F430 from Thrissur had met with a mishap two days back at Salem on its way to Bangalore.

About a year back, there was a Dubai registered Hummer H2 doing rounds in Thrissur. The driver of that one quoted the price as 4cr!! Wonder what's with these Hummer guys

That's a bit of a stretch, isn't it? Pun intended.

Some owners have been known to inflate the price tag of their imported rides, by a few digits, to make people drop their jaws. We, on the other hand, tend to drop out jaws on seeing such audacity

! And our totally ignorant media tend to play along.

Have been at the receiving end of such audacity quite a few times

Quite a funny experience how some owners extract pride from the apparent envy of the onlookers. The media is in a league of its own here. There has been umpteen instances of grossly inflated prices quoted for these exotics. A simple Google search would have sufficed in confirming the authenticity, but hey, that takes away the sensationalism right?!
