I reckon that the Humvee refers to the H1, be it civilian or military.

Thats correct. AM general HUMVEE refers to the original military version which were also unoficially called Hummers. They made a civilian version later on the H1 (Governator of california was the famous first recipient!). GM later on spun the name Hummer and made it in to a brand and made H2 and H3 off their existing SUV platforms.

And I wouldnt say that the original Humvee is inferior to Landcruisers.

Ram, sorry I didnt get what U mean...to be frank, I'm not very sure of all the S-class owners now, mainly because of two reasons, some of the new S owners are first time Merc owners, secondly lot of new S-classes are on road now..

In my knowledge there is only three carniel red (meroon) S-classes in state, 2 at Calicut & one at Tvm...The one in Tvm is owned by a Jweller group & the one in Clt is owned by KRS Ltd (mod: they are my good friends) and other red by a close relatives of KRS, but a NRI, his car just arrived last day totaling to 6 S-classes in the city...here is a photo of the same at Merc's Clt service centre...came down to fit a new horn
