Yes, that is a winch.

Why is the winch installed stupid:? and i had seen a friend install in his scorpio (Kishan Lohiya from Hyd) and he got it exclusively from thailand.

It's usually needed for rescue attempts while doing off-roading. Sometimes to rescue your own trapped vehicle & sometimes to pull out other stuck vehicles. The purpose of putting on G which probably will never see an off-road excursion? No idea, but most such instances revolve around showing off what hard-core equipment you have.

Its usually done along with some vahaan puja to ward off some evil spirits and bad omens generally on a new ride and when off to a long drive. Its like a superstition that many people follow @least down south and if i aint wrong many from up north and west too do it as well :D

Hey guys....did u see the full video of this event?......This video is running successfully in u-tube. The video clipping shows mammootty slapping one of his fan who tried to touch him.

@ Anand123

The red merc used in the movie by mamooty was a KL registered one .. a college mate of mine from Kottayam .. this is a KA registration .. unless of course he's using it in bangalore and changed the registration .. but i dont remember tints on his car though ..

A co-builder friend of mine confirmed a new 525d here today..hes going for a platinum silver, earlier he though of dark blue, but thinking of the practical difficulty to maintain, he changed to p.silver...he'll get the car by 1st week of March...

Mean while another 5-series may also get confirmed soon...a 7-series may hit Nilambur shortly...

My friend Suraj (Rajasree Motors) along with the only Smart in Kerala...this car's photos have already been issued in a daily, hence not deleted the no.plate...

for how long is the car staying here?

how much would it cost if one wants to buy it hanmust?

As its in Carnet, it wont stay more than 6 months...including the caution deposite, it costed him something around 20 lakhs, but its re-fundable....

I'm not very sure how much it'll cost for U, but when I enquired it couple of years back for an uncle of mine, i got the rate about 15lakhs (grey market)....
