@scorcher: these pics are from the auto show aagneya isn't it?
. just inform me if you meet the guy with the M3 again.

OT - Not aagneya i guess, It was named something like ''Full Throttle". Dude, i think(not sure) aagneya is Barton hill college's cultural fest and not auto shows. :)

Ok,went to the Full throttle event organized by Barton Hill Engineering college today at Nishagandhi. And after the freestyle stunt shows and other events i was just walking through the stalls when i quite unexpectedly bumped into trivandrum's only E36 M3(AC Schnitzer built, track spec) which apparently belongs to a fellow-bhpian(non active). I was seeing the car after like 3-4 yrs, we knew each other and exchanged some pleasantries and car talks. He fired it up for me and was such an orgasmic exhaust note i say. He offered me a drive too, i was so excited i rang up jk_das and told him, I'm going for a drive in the E36 M3. Just then, as he was one among the Judges of the evnt he had to get on the stage for some honourings and i had to leave in a jiffy for some urgent engagements. But we have promised to meet soon for the drive. Fingers crossed. :) Can't wait !

Have some pics, but very poor quality because of poor lighting and the crappy flash of my E series.

And the best part, If he is in country(he works for Rolls Royce, Goodwood and is one among the team who built the Phantom 'seriously'), Hopefully, he will make it to the next trivandrum bhpian meet, with the M3. clap:

E series takes good video :D

Hope we drives down the M3 for our next meet ( and its Kerala's only or maybe India's only I guess)

Really nice pic, man! The first one is the pick of the lot - it looks like a real brute with those large rims and wide tires!

Cheers!

Yes, those 20" rims & tyres do make a huge difference in the looks

Nice pics bro, would look good in the multiple imports thread.

I really love the pre-fl one w/o the spare wheel. The new ones got petite wheels. Anything better on option ?

Maybe I should have posted it in that thread instead.

The pre-FL has front fogs, all black interiors and no keyless start/stop either. The official Indian imports don't have any front fogs :Frustrati and come with a softer beige interior.

But the FL's front looks better, with it's larger chrome grille and more flashy headlamps. The wheels are only 18" but they are better suited for off-roading (and some of the tracks that the govt. passes off as 'good' roads these days).

I somehow like the toureg with the spare wheel attached to the back.
And I also personally think this is a very great car with immense capability.
Had a an opportunity to Test drive one and loved it to bits except for the brakes which I felt weren't enough.

So, here are some better pics of the E36 M3. Enjoy ! :) Posting with permission. No issue of pics in a private area.

@jk - Amen, fingers crossed ! :D

Thats one fantastic looking E36 M3 and what color, but wonder how the owner has managed to keep the front bumper intact . It is almost touching the ground, he must have a tough time finding a good road to put this baby to its paces without body work getting sheared off.

The other car is a 7 series E38, rumoured to be running on Alpina engine.

Thats a very good example of a E36 M3.

Saw the silver BMW Z3 (My Toy) in Fastrack, Manorama News today. Its owner said that he'll take back the H3 and Z3 soon and the next car he's going to bring on carnet is the ROLLS ROYCE PHANTOM!!

Saw the brand new FL 7 series with Govt. of Kerala board on the both number plates , that was Mr.Lulu

It is a task in itself to drive the car in Indian conditions. But it is a great boon that in our city, speed breakers are a rarity and even better, the roads are in good condition(atleast, Select areas) compared to the rest of Kerala.

Yes, that is a 7 but not a E38 but E32. And not aware of the engine thing though. Will confirm.

It ain't smoked. E36 M3 comes with those headlamps only. It has been given black inserts from factory itself to give a distinctive/macho appeal.(Like the C63 AMG now)

The F01 7 is not FL buddy. It is a 'Brand new' car. Not face lifted. :)

Lulu, getting RR Ghost, can't wait !!
