@vivekji05- Great find brother, this car was in the state for a year or so and still not even a single pic in the thread. Good Job ! This guy also have a BMW 650i(White), Cayenne S(Black), S350(White, which happens to be the first W221 S in the state) and a 525d(Black). Previously had a SLK 200k, he traded it for this Carrera.

Was that 911 bought as second-hand?

With the amount of high end cars (mercs, beemers, audis etc) trickling into trivandrum now , why is that dealers don't consider building service centers in the Capital city.

I believe it coulds the mid travancore area a lot more if these folks brought in the concept of satellite service centers ( minus the showrooms).

I remember mercedes used to have their service garage at one time ( probably 10-15 years ago) near the airport road.

What are your thoughts on this ?

Nice thing to point out brother, By the large number of luxo-mobiles it does deserve a proper service stations. But looking from the dealers perspective tvm is only the third largest market in the state(#1-cochin,#2-calicut,malabar areas). As it is only considerable time since marques like Bmw and Audi came into our auto scene, they are busy setting up their main hubs. Only recently Bmw got its full fledged service station started in their dealership(the old one was a km away and a temporary one).

Morover, it wont effect the owners too much as they offer trailer service to vehicles from tvm etc. to get it serviced.

And if i wish to reveal more, approximately a year ago The Bmw kochi guys with whom i share a personal relation, made talks with my company's realtor wing for a land to setup their 2nd showroom and service stn. in Trivandrum. The deal did'nt happen by slight margins. I still fall apart when i see the land which would have been a Beemer showroom now lying barren :D But anyday we can expect it to materialize ;)

Though, Merc is an exeption. Its bigtime they did something. But still i see a tel no: of its tvm service stn. when they give ad's. Dont know more of it, the best guy to talk from the MB/Rajashree p.o.v would have to be hani.

Cochin is the ideal place to have A.S.S too IMHO. Driving down to Cochin just takes 3 hours these days. Also, I dont think the volume of cars at Tvm/Kollam is enough to start a service centre. Maybe a multi car A.S.S. is a good idea.

They have rechristened it as Venad something. I saw 2-3 Mercs there one month back. They are now into car painting/rework job.Its near Kochu Veli.

Also, IIRC, the garage on the by-pass ( I forgot its name) also works on Mercs etc.

Yeah,a showroom and A.S.S in kochi is perfectly logic, its bang in middle of kerala and anyone can drive there in a few hours. Its the commercial capital of kerala and poised to become the happenin metro in india.
So everything happening in kerala should do something with kochi.

But WHY US?!!!!!!!!:Frustrati

No showroom in Thiruvananthapuram!! is the worst humiliation for us car lovers here ,OK given there are less high-end cars in t'puram, but atleast merc could have done something.(14 years!!)
Shouldn't blame only them; after all they are business people.
ITS the bourgeois folks who are able to buy the cars, they pay a visit to kochi now and then,so have their cars serviced there. Also they don't blink once before setting out to kochi, could also sent their drivers to go and service their cars.THEY DON'T DEMAND !!
If the people who matter doesnt want it why should they???
And last of all the people of t'puram.
Most of them cannot and should not be seen in high-end cars,so they sensibly and practically go for innova, safari, scorpio, tavera, qualis etc. (which are actually good and practical in my views).
And most of the wealth is concentrated in the govt. employees who save up,save up,save up and still save up for what God knows. And still go on in their chetaks(now rare) or go in for an alto or wagonr.
No wonder we don't have any showrooms or A.S.S in t'puram.
I may sound naive and immature sorry:
But its b'cos i am naive and immature(am a small town boy)

got these pics of the yantra motor show from a friend. I know it has been a long time since the show, thought i still would post it.
