Yep, seen it numerous times on the MG Road near Chattarpur. The V10 was big pimpin for it's day in India...2005, Delhi and the most powerful diesel production engine in the world is a big deal. Atleast for me.

I don't know, but I believe it won't be the same car as chances are that it would have sold either in Kerala of TN/Karnataka, beacause normally these people buy big cars on a cheap rate from Del & Mum, and sell it in south as if they won't lose any money or even gain some thing. If they sell in Del/Mum it'll be a lose for them! But I'm no aware about this car!

last day I spotted a brand new LandCruiser (new version), but I guess that this car doesn't belong to Calicut. If I'm right it'll be from Tirur as I've seen the driver several times with a import dealer there.
There is a new monoco blue 530d in the city, owned by the b-i-l of an ex-minister.
The black FJ Cruiser was showcased in the 'Fast-track' TV show y'day night. Watch out the re-telecast of the show. There was an interview of the owner, whos is from Vadanapalli (Thrissur Dist). Its on CARNET. |
Spotted a white landcruiser driven by a guy with a white 'turban', might be the same from tirur.
heard a news that the guy who imported fj cruiser is trying to register his car in kerala, is there any thing like international registration that he can use it in kerala, or trade it here?
BTW the white toureg is the same which i had spotted at pookunnam.
the FJ cruiser is the first one in India is it..?
If it is the same one as the one in the pic below , it will be the 1st
else not.
:OTthere's an old chap in hill gardens thrissur who is aged 65 plus, he owns three cruisers
1 - Triumph
2 - stead
3 - on older version of honda cruiser bike

There is no legal method to register a car brought on CARNET, but i know someone who run his car imported on CARNET in KL-regn with a VIP no. But sorry can't disclose the car.
No no, its not the first FJ Cruiser in India, may be it's the first in Kerala. I've personally seen one from Delhi almost a year back.

You are right Hanmust, there is no legal way of registering a car on carnet. On the other hand you can use your car number for the carnet car and the car whose number plate you have used cannot be driven on the road at the same time. Example your G wagon number can be used for the Hummer SUT, but when you are driving the Hummer the Gwagon has to be parked at home and not used by anyone.
A friend of mine had done this, cannot disclose the either of the cars or the number. I dont know if this is legal or not, but my friend said he had RTO permission to do so.
