Is it a replica? I really thought it to be an original. But I guess we wont have to wait long for the new Ford GT. Someone might just get one to Mumbai or India for that matter

Cheers

hey guys

Check out the new Overdrive (Mar 04). Guido, the guy who created the Chinkara is all set to start work on a 'replica' of GT40 for ''mass production" (put that a few ten units here n there). And yea, some more Lotus Sevens. Not bad eh! for an all Indian effort. Though I wonder what will he put in that replica GT40. Not another Conti engine i hope(no offence addy, the conti is gr8, always loved it). Welll if he does put something nice and meaty, wouldn't mind making it the official drag car for team-bhp. What say GTO?

Keep revvin

Ya of course a GT40 replica would do nicely for our drag machine. Now if only we know what the powerplant would be in there. Lets wait and watch

Cheers

Hmmm.....thats interesting.....but i really wonder how accurate the body is going to be. And also i wonder which body style he is going to copy since there were several in the 20th century and now a new one in the 21st century ;-]

I dont think any engine available on the indian market can do justice, even to a replica GT40... how about pumping up a truck engine or something?
My friend told me that he was at a car show in dubai and these guys were revving the GT40 and he had to cover his years coz he felt sweet pain! hahahaha...

cheers.
attached is a pic of a replica i came across...(nice sound if u can see the vids on the website gt40.co.nz ...but it doesnt seem to work anymore)
