So I was wondering..if money wasn’t a constraint, which luxury car would you rather sit back on while going home after a hardcore track session on your supercar?

Is it a Rolls Royce..


..or a Bentley..


..or a gangsta Maybach?


Note: I know there’s a thread on this (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/intern...g-article.html), but it’s outdated.

If there’s any other car you’d rather have, that’s welcome too. And as always, any experiences with all the cars is welcome!

Voted for the Rolls Royce without even thinking twice.
Nothing comes close to royalty and grandeur and charm the way Rolls Royce's eludes in each of their models. The perfect symbol of wealth and power, the coveted Spirit of Ecstasy at the top of the hood, nothing comes close to a Rolls when it comes to mixing style with unmatched luxury.
Also because I'm a Beemer fanboy and BMW owns the RR

Yeah, interesting thing to note:
Bentley is owned by Audi, Maybach by Mercedes-Benz and like you said RR by BMW.

So, basically it’s a battle between the big 3 german trio again.

For me ultimate Luxury would be peace of mind and safety, so my pick would be Volvo XC 90 Excellence! weird choice I guess.

Top brands just have too many features, and interior seem to have too many things going on. This on the other hand would be nice place to relax.

It would have to be the Rolls Royce without a doubt. I have been seeing a famous industrialist's RRs in Pune since the mid '80s. Nothing spells class and refinement more than a British luxury car including the ooh la la gorgeous Aston Martins. Second choice and very close to a RR would be a Bentley.

These automobiles (not the AM of course) ain't luxo-barges they're luxo-yachts. Now you know the difference between the Brit luxury and the rest of em.

Maybach? Hmm, no, not when a RR or Bentley are in front of me.

Every time Mercedes comes out with a new generation of the S-Class, it is far, far ahead of anything that Rolls Royce or Bentley sell. The cutting-edge S-Class makes other, more expensive cars feel outdated.

If I want a luxury barge, my choice would always be a V8 S-Class. But if you ask me to choose from one of these 3, it would undoubtedly be a Rolls.

Good point. But I believe it’s a preference of an old-school simplistic, classy interiors or high tech wizardry. For example, choosing between a 5 star luxury cottage in the woods or staying in a 5 star luxury hotel bang in the centre of a city.

In that sense then, Rolls Royce beats all others. And the age group intended for such cars prefers simplicity over everything.

A Rolls Royce or a Bentley dont do same volumes as a S-Class and are marketed as bespoke luxury automobiles with huge customization options while S-class is the most luxurious "production car" in the world. There is a difference. A Bentley or a Rolls Royce will not have a brand new model every 6-7 years while on the other hand an S-Class would and therefore is always at the bleeding edge of technology. That said, there is nothing that the new S Class has that the recently launched 2018 RR Phantom VIII wont. The new Phantom may even have more technology than the S.

It's horses for courses really.

If I need to make a statement and work from the car, do high speed cross country dashes - it is the Maybach. I have sat in both the Maybach and the Bentley EWB. The Maybach is more comfortable although it lacks the sense of occasion.

If I have an S class for day to day duties and need car to make a statement or give me a sense of occasion - It is the Bentley

If I have an S class for day to day duties and want to reward myself and make a statement - It is the Rolls

If you look at actual usage in India - it seems to go that way - The Rolls and Bentley are wheeled out for parties/ ceremonies whereas the S Class/ Maybach are the daily workhorse

Voted for the RR. I would prefer a BMW in luxurious clothing compared to a well-dressed VAG
And with the Maybach there’s nothing much visually to differentiate it from a standard S-Class

Rolls all the way. RR have a charm which no other marque can match, plus the endless customization options makes it the ultimate luxury symbol for me.

RR among the options listed, voting based only on brand. If comfort or features was the main criteria, I am sure there are plenty of better options at fraction of price. After seeing Toyota Century, its probably the car that I want to be chauffeured in.
